Lansing houses are surrounded by gently swaying pine trees and grand old maple trees that compliment the whimsical mix of Edwardian, Tudor, English Cottage and Craftsman style houses found in this neighbourhood. Lansing's original housing stock dates from the 1920's up to and including the 1950's. There is also a considerable amount of new home construction going on in this neighbourhood. A fair number of Lansing houses are situated on ravine lots that offer spectacular views of the Don River Valley.
