East York is a former municipality within the current city of Toronto.

It is separated by the Don River from the former City of Toronto. The majority of East York homes are smaller homes with extensive high-rise developments along peripheral major streets and in Crescent Town and Thorncliffe Park.

The majority of East York real estate was built between 1890's and 1960's. With the houses having been built over such a wide period of time, East York homes come in a wide variety of sizes and styles.

East York homes are mainly two storey or one-and-a half-storey detached, semi-detached houses and bungalows. There are also some apartments available in the neighbourhood.
